Welcome, welcome, dear human, on this beautiful new day. We are pleased to be with you again, and we’d like to talk about music and how music can help you live a better life.
How music is formed
Music, it’s so simple. Every melody contains the same twelve notes, and if you see what a variety of styles and genres of music there are, it’s amazing what an enormous amount of creativity has been triggered by music.
Not to mention the enormously abundant amount of musical instruments. And objects that can be used as instruments, which can be just daily tools and objects.
Even your own human body can be used as a musical instrument in and of itself, like when you’re singing, or drumming on your chest, or clapping a rhythm with your hands.
The power of music
Listening to music is a way to soothe your soul, to comfort you, soften your emotional reactions, or help you to release tension or deep emotions. Music helps you to relax, or to be uplifted again when times are not so easy.
Music unites people. When people come together for a concert of a band, an orchestra, or an artist they love, they are surrounded by like-minded people, with the same affection for the music they’re hearing. The connection between them is tangible.
Music also helps when people are sick, ill, not feeling well. Even people suffering from depression can experience more light and less darkness, when they listen to music.
For every person on the planet, there’s choice in what kind of music they like best. Whether it be pop, rock, classical, acoustic, country, rap, or heavy metal or even hardcore house. And it’s all a matter of taste what your preference is.
Some people like sweet and romantic ballads, love songs, others need to feel a beat thumping through their body.
Why does music have such profound impact on humans?
Did you ever think about music, really think about it? What music really is, and why it is so helpful for you as a human being, to change your moods, help you cope and deal with things?
It’s because music is vibration. Every sound is vibration, air vibrating, then being caught by your ears and translated into sound in your brain. And it’s these vibrations that are so healing and uplifting, or whatever it is that you experience when you listen to music.
Make your own instruments
Now, why do we come up with a topic like this? That’s easy: because we want to encourage you to sing, to listen to music, and if you can, make music yourself.
You don’t have to be skilled, you need no expensive instruments… A bucket, or a plastic laundry basket can do a sufficient job for a drum. Simple tools as cigarette paper and a comb make a pretty good kazoo like instrument, you can make whistles from branches of trees, there are so many ways to improvise and use creativity to create instruments.
And if you do or did have the possibility to buy an instrument, then you might want to learn to play it, if you haven’t done so already. Start making your own music, improvise with instruments, whether they’re real instruments or not.
Making music is fun, making music is sharing harmony and love, no matter what genre or style, it ‘s always about sharing, connecting people, and enjoying sound. It’s indeed a vibrational experience, a party for your ears (well, that’s if you listen to music you enjoy, we can imagine that listening to a genre you really don’t like, can be torturous).
It’s time to enjoy music
Why not do something musical today? Listen to a song you love, sing along with it, or make a song of your own. It’s so easy to enjoy the gift of music in many ways!
We love you dear human, and we’re looking forward to hearing a symphony coming from planet Earth, played by thousands upon thousands of people, having fun, be uplifted and/or relaxed by the musical vibrations that enter their ears!
Have some fun today with music!
