Welcome, welcome, dear human, on this beautiful new day. We are so pleased to be with you again and we would like to speak a few words about the illusion of time and being in the now-moment.
We know and understand that your whole life seems to be build up around the clock. Everything you do has a place in time.
You get up at a certain time, you eat at specific times, and when you have a lot of things planned on certain times and you always do that, you call it a routine.
Which is nothing but repeating the same things, often at the same time, or within a certain time frame.
Aspects of the illusion of time
We hear many of you say that ‘time flies when you’re having fun’, and that time tends to move slowly when you’re feeling bored, or when you’re waiting for something joyful or for something to arrive.
Well, we are here to tell you that you can also ‘slow down’ time when you’re enjoying yourself. Forget about the idea that time goes faster when you’re having fun or that it slows down when you’re not enjoying yourself.
That too is part of the illusion of time, just as the concept of time itself.
When you’re in the moment, enjoying whatever it is you’re doing, in that moment there is no time. So it cannot fly by. You’re just being, and doing what you love.
It is subjective, that feeling of time flying by. It’s not true. And the same goes for the feeling that time slows down. It can’t, it’s part of the illusion!
When you are in the moment, doing whatever it is you do, whether or not you’re enjoying yourself, be aware, know, that there is no time. There is just now.
Sequential now-moments
And when you look back on memories of maybe just five minutes ago, or maybe an hour ago, or a month or a year ago, and you look at that time between your current now-moment and that past now-moment of a month or a year ago, you’re programmed to feel this feeling of ‘wow, where did time go? It went so fast!’.
Drop that feeling. Forget about it. Time didn’t go fast, time is not there, it’s an illusion. Just look at it as a year or a month, or an hour, filled with lined up now-moments.
It’s just a range of now-moments, following each other. That will change your perspective of time, when you are in the now.
It will also support you in your efforts to be in the now, to look at time as single now-moments.
Old school film rolls
It’s like looking at a film, and we mean the literal film. Like when in the old days, before everything became digital, when there were analog cameras with a rolls of film to photograph.
There also were similar types of film for filmmaking. You know the old film, the literal celluloid film on which movies were recorded, that contained just lined up pictures of now-moments.
Pictures that were sequentially following each other, giving you the illusion of a moving image.
But every film, and that is still to this day, every moving image and movie you see is made up of sequential now-moments. They are all pictures, played fast after each other, to give the illusion of moving image.
Exactly the same is the matter with the illusion of time passing. Time just consists of sequential now-moments following one after another, that’s all.
So if you feel that time has flown by, see it as this movie, made up of all these little images, all these separate pictures. And you will see and experience the magic in that.
Now is the time
You will begin to understand how important it is to be in the now-moment. That is the state to be in as often as you can, until it becomes your natural state of being.
And enjoy the illusion of time. Enjoy the things you do in the illusion of time, knowing that there’s only now. Now is the time. And we mean that in every way you can experience that.
Now is the time. There is no time, there is only now. Now is the time. Whatever you want in your life, whatever you feel you need, now is the time.
We love having conversations like this with you. We always love to expand your comprehension of certain subjects and illusions and we are looking forward to our next one.
We love you, we love you, we love you.
We are The Wisdom, and with that we are complete.
