Welcome, welcome, dear human, on this beautiful new day. We are so pleased to be with you again to speak about the effects of reliving your past and keeping the past alive.
Are you still telling the old stories?
We know that all of you have your own memories, your stories, the things you keep bringing up time and again, telling how it used to be.
We see you dwell on the emotions and feelings of times gone by. And we get that, we understand that you look back to get a sense of security, of knowing where to go and how to do things, based on your past experiences.
But there is a downfall to that. With hanging on to, or even clinging on to the past, and past experiences, you tend to forget that you live now.
You become more and more involved with things that used to be, instead of investing energy and time living your current life, in the situation that you are now in.
And that is why we want to talk with you about reliving your past.
Why it’s better to let go
Could you let go of your past stories? Could you let go of thinking back all the time about things that were, and how things used to be?
Because, by going back in your memories, reliving your past, you create your own suffering.
When you think back at things that were good, you tend to get a feeling that back in the day things were better than they are now.
It can make you sad, sometimes even unsatisfied, with how your life has unfolded.
On the other hand, when you think of things in your past that weren’t so good, things that you consider hurtful, or stressful, you go back in those emotions.
You drag the old feelings into your current life. You drag the old into the new, and you keep suffering from things that have gone, that you’ve already lived through back then.
There is no need to keep bringing these experiences back to your now-moment, to relive your past.
It only creates suffering and mental issues, that could easily be avoided by living in the now and staying in your present.
We do not judge you for keeping your memories alive, we understand that it’s a common thing for humans to do, but it is a habit.
It’s a habit that in the end hurts you, it’s not good for you to keep doing that.
It’s time for new stories to unfold
It’s like when you read a book, you don’t read on, but keep re-reading the same previous chapters again and again, without ever discovering how the story continues or unfolds.
Your life is a story, it’s a work in progress, and it’s not completely settled how it will unfold. You have influence on how things will go, you can change the way your life goes from here, today, right now.
So, start telling different stories, get rid of the old ones and begin telling new stories, to create a new reality that is more in alignment with the things you want to experience.
More in alignment with your soul, more in alignment with why you came here. You didn’t come into this life to keep looking back, you came here to experience new things.
And how can you live and experience new things, if you keep looking back?
Stop reliving your past
When you’re driving your car, it’s okay to look in your mirror before taking certain actions, but if you are constantly looking in your mirror to look back and see where you’ve been, you loose track of where you’re going, and you will end up in accidents and disasters.
The same goes for your life and reliving your past. Stop looking back, start looking ahead. How do you wish your life to be a month from now? A year from now? Where do you want to be five years from now?
Give your attention to that, and begin creating that life, and let go of the baggage of the past. Your past is a done deal, it’s ready, there’s no need to drag it with you for the rest of your life.
You are free, release yourself from the burdens that you’ve imposed on yourself.
We love you so much dear human, and we wish a bright and happy future for you. It’s up to you to claim that for yourself. You are entitled to, it’s your birth right to be happy.
So begin today, stop reliving your past, let it go and start now with living your future!
