Welcome, welcome, dear human, on this beautiful new day. We are so pleased to be able to speak with you again, and we’d like to talk about breathing consciously.
We know we’ve spoken about this before, but we want you to understand the importance of the way you breathe.
Breathing consciously, do you do it?
Most people breathe very shallow, they don’t take in enough oxygen to help their cells repair, to give their body the necessary means to keep them healthy and fit.
But that’s not all there is to it. Breathing has way more impact than just entering oxygen into the body.
It’s a relief mechanism, a way for your body and mind to inhale energy, but also peace, quiet, stillness.
Breathing in itself can be an act of meditation, when breathing consciously and focusing on the rhythm of your chest moving up and down.
There’s more to breathing than you would think
Breathing is such an important, yet underestimated part of your life. Many think that breathing is something you just do.
It’s what you start with after being born, freshly out of your mother’s womb. You inhale your first breath and then the endless cycle of breathing in and breathing out begins.
But did you ever think that breathing is something you can improve? Using your breath in better ways than you’ve ever thought possible?
Breathing exercise
Let us guide you a little bit here, and show you how you can improve your technique of breathing.
When you inhale, focus on breathing consciously. Feel the air flowing in through your nose and hold it in your lungs for a bit. Just do it now.
Now imagine that oxygen flowing from your lungs into the rest of your body, going out of your lungs into your bloodstream, and going with your blood through every part of your body.
All the way to your arms, until it reaches your fingertips, and then it goes back again, all the way it’s delivering every necessary bit of oxygen to every cell along the way.
In the meantime you let the air quietly flow out of your lungs again, leaving your body through your nose or your mouth.
Keep going, you’re doing great
And then you inhale again, taking a very deep breath, as deep as you possibly can… and then imagine that oxygen again, flowing from your lungs into your bloodstream.
The blood takes it all up to your head, supporting every cell in your body, and it flows down through your organs, and further down through your legs all the way to the tip of your toes.
Then you exhale slowly, while imagining the oxygen being transported to every body cell.
And when you inhale again feel your chest, as it goes up or stretching out while you inhale… and going down or inwards again when you exhale.
Breathe through your belly
Now focus your breath to your belly. Inhale deeply and instead of letting your chest move, let your belly expand.
Let go of those tight muscles trying to keep your belly flat, and inhale the oxygen to your belly… and relax your muscles as you do that….
Can you feel how tight you’ve been keeping all your muscles?
A lot of tension is held inside the body, which can be released by breathing consciously, being aware of every inhale and exhale, breathing through your belly.
Circular breathing
Now we want you to imagine a circular flow. The air going into your nose and in a circular motion it goes into your lungs down to your belly and out of the body again.
Just let that air flow in and out and envision it going in a circular motion, into the body and out of the body again. And feel the meditative state this brings you in.
Whenever you feel stressed, or hurried, worried, or separated from your true self, this is a way to get back into a centered state, back into a feeling of being at ease, peaceful, relaxed.
By just breathing in and out, giving your body the relaxation and the oxygen it so desperately needs to thrive.
Breathing is very underestimated by most people, and we hope that we’ve given you a way to focus yourself into the present moment by just breathing and feeling at ease in your human body.
Back into the now-moment
Whatever is going on outside of you, whatever things you are worrying or thinking about without seeing solutions, go back to your breath.
Know that by breathing consciously you always return to your core, it’s the fastest way to being in the now-moment again.
And in the now-m0ment is where you find peace of mind, and from there you can easily step into your heart, and look there for whatever answers you are looking for.
It starts with you breathing consciously.
We love you so much, and we are looking forward to our next conversation.
We are The Wisdom, and with that we are complete for now.
